When we in 2009, as part of our corporate identity process, set out to define what we believe makes our company special and unique, we thought of Thornico in the imagery of the spider’s web.
We are a global net of over 120 companies within a variety of business areas. Our group consists of companies, subsidiaries, factories and sales offices all over the world, creating business across and between markets and industries.
But we are first of all a family owned business, and to quote the Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard, we strive to meet people, employees, partners and customers alike -”where they are”- to have a local approach, respecting and adapting to both market and cultural differences. We are thinking in terms of involvement, shared leverage and giving ownership. This interlinked with the fact that even though we have grown substantially through the years, we endeavor to keep the ‘small company and family feeling’, also in terms of staying flexible, agile and maybe most importantly – curious.
Every day, we see how our companies use this approach to create strong relations to the people we work with, staying connected to each other and their surroundings - creating an interlinked pattern of a spider’s web – a characteristic which we also, at the end of our corporate identity process, illustrated and embodied in our Thornico logo.
We are delighted in your interest in THORNICO and hope this website provides you with information that ignites your curiosity and that it will serve as a guide on your journey through the Thornico world.
