First visit in Europe

In the beginning of October 2011 Thorco Africa visited a European harbor for the first time. We marked it with an event at the harbor in Rotterdam and on the ship itself. 

We invited business partners, clients and customers of the Thornico companies onboard, to show how we in Thornico combine business with charity. In the first nine months of 2011 Thorco Africa collected 175.000 DKK. During the event in Rotterdam, Red Cross' representative, Jens Grønning, was given a cheque for the amount. 

At the event Christian Stadil explained: "The project may not change the world but it is a beginning and can hopefully also inspire other, more conservative industries to take similar initiatives".
