MyKarma Project Winner 2023

In THORNICO, we annually crown a winner of our MyKarma Project Award. A MyKarma Project can be big or small, and everything in between. It can involve one person or thousands of people, a local community or maybe even the planet. It is about doing something good and extending our Company Karma philosophy after working hours.

MyKarma Project Winner 2023

We are very pleased to announce that this year's MyKarma Project winner and recipient of DKK 25,000 for the project is:

Ozge Sabuncu from hummel Turkey and her project One Bag = One Hope.

In brief, the project focuses on assisting and educating earthquake survivors in Turkey. This is achieved by selling the bags that hummel typically hands out free of charge to the customers in their shops.

We surprised Ozge during her and the team's visit to the hummel Danish Headquarters in connection with the Hummel100 celebration this Friday. During the surprise, our CEO and Owner, Christian Stadil, as well as Pernille S. Finnerup from hummel, held a short speech to the occasion while presenting her with the prize.

Ozge expresses her hopes for the project:

"I hope that with the support given by this project, we will both create an example of social responsibility and be instrumental in alleviating the pain of the earthquake victims if only a little. The money collected in the stores and the prize money can truly make a difference in many people's lives." - Ozge Sabuncu

Big congratulations and well done to Ozge - from the entire THORNICO conglomerate! We wish her and her MyKarma Project all the best. And we are looking forward to following her great and inspiring work.
