Once again, hummel joined Roskilde Festival in a strong collaboration to “Change the World through Sport & Music”. It was the third year in a row that hummel could present an exclusive, limited edition Roskilde Festival Kit. The 2016 kit contained a cool pair of sneakers and a sporty t-shirt, which could only be bought at the unique festival shop.
The shop itself was a great space for having fun with friends in between the many concerts. Besides shopping your great Festival outfit or a Christiania jersey, you could play foosball, pose for the camera in the ‘photolet’ or relax in the lounge area, making the hummel shop THE place to go for a short break in between concerts.
Like previous years, hummel also took part in the sports activities in the “warm-up days” for the festival. Teaming up with the organization GAME, hummel provided festival visitors with the opportunity to spread “orangekarma” by playing street basket, beach soccer and beach volleyball. For each of the 1342 points or goals scored in the official activities, 50kr was donated to GAME equaling 10x10cm of asphalt for GAME’s sports activities in Beirut, Lebanon, which focuses on promoting equal rights in the strikebound country.
The sports activities also included three show games made especially for the warm-up days, namely the celebrity wheelchair basketball challenge, a football game between the Danish national homeless team and a group of politicians, and finally the iconic football game between the freetown Christiania and the police.
